After the rather low turn-out for the August we were concerned that interest in the monthly social games was waning, but the September gamed allayed our fears, with a good 15 players turning out to play bright and early on Saturday. Again there were a good mix of new and old players, as well the regulars.
We started the game at the old site and played a couple of games on the newly "remodelled" heaps. Rearranging of the soil in the heaps have created brand new terrain which allowed us to experiment with new tactics on the heaps before playing a game in the trees.
We then moved down to "The Ridge" - the site we identified during the August game. As predicted this site produced some incredible games where strategy and tactics were equally important as teamwork, stealth and sheer guts in many cases. The new playing area is also very large which enables longer games.
The game also provided the players with an opportunity to see JK in action sporting the new BT apex barrel. The barrel proved to be a good match for the A5 flatline, and I am sure we will see more players upgrading to this new technology. For a full review see the new Tech page.
A good day was had by all, and we will be back next month for another opportunity to refine our strategies and skills.
